Just some warm up sketches, always a good idea to spend some time on heads. Im noticing my noses are getting a moore/ kubert feel to them.

lean and mean

In keeping with my high-falootin goal of a post a day, here we have a wolfman(sort of) and he's...looking for his car keys. Obviously. Ever since I saw harry potter, all my wolf creatures seem to turn out so lanky. Bad scan I know.

H.P. Lovecraft

Continuing the series of "vintage" portraits, we have H.P. Lovecraft, American horror/science fiction author. i was hesitant to post this one actually since my original idea was to stick with the lesser known figures from history, but his face was so fun to draw i couldn't resist.

Outlaws and brothers, Bill and Tom McCarty, two thirds of the "invincible three" gang.

drawn with a cheap ball point pen. Aprox. 3-4 inches in height. I have started a small series of portraits of outlaws using old photos as reference. I have a few more I've worked on and will upload them soon.

Incredible Hulk

For some reason, one of my favorite characters to draw lately has been the Incredible Hulk. Must be the WW HULK storyline (good stuff!) fun with extreme anatomy and toned paper, june '07
